Michigan Te Commit Is A Workhorse!! Hogan Hansen Michigan Football Recruiting I Wolverines

On300 Michigan tight end commit Hogan Hansen caught two catches for 51 yards and one touchdown, along with one carry for 32 yards and one touchdown in Bellevue (Wash.) High’s 42-14 win on Thursday.

The Wolverine’s Zach Libby was onsite and captured exclusive clips from the contest. Watch highlights of Hansen in the video above.

Hansen Recruitment

Hansen committed to Michigan this past December following an unofficial visit to campus two months prior to see the win over Penn State. He chose the Wolverines over notable offers from Washington, Oregon, Auburn, Stanford, Florida, Tennessee, Miami, Colorado and Oregon State.

“I think now was the right time to commit because I’ve had a gut feeling about Michigan for a long time,” Hansen told The Wolverine after his commitment. “I’ve been pretty set on them for the last four-or-five months. With my focus being on Michigan, it was hard giving other schools and coaches my energy. I just feel great about my commitment. I love the coaching staff and it’s just a great place.”

Hansen is listed as the No. 189 overall prospect and No. 14 tight end in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four primary recruiting media services. He’s also the No. 3 player in Washington.

Hansen has an On3 NIL Valuation of $83K with a combined 3.5K followers on Instagram, TikTok and X. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Along with Hansen, Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class is highlighted by Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis, Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller running back Jordan Marshall, Top 100 Rochester (Mich.) Adams tight end Brady Prieskorn, On300 Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst offensive tackle Andrew Sprague, On300 Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic linebacker Cole Sullivan, On300 Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park EDGE Devon Baxter, Harper Woods (Mich.) High defensive back Jacob Oden, On300 Austin (Tex.) Vandegrift offensive tackle Blake Frazier, On300 West Charlotte (N.C.) High linebacker Jaden Smith and On300 Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth linebacker Mason Curtis.
