Michigan brought in five 2024 uncommitted targets for Victor’s Weekend, four of whom were on official visits, to be alongside 13 commits in the team’s 2024 recruiting class.

The Wolverine takes a look at where Michigan stands with each prospect.

Three-star WR Jordan Shipp, Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day

RPM: Michigan (79%), NC State (11.4%), North Carolina (7.2%)

The Skinny: An On3 prediction was placed in favor of Michigan for Jordan Shipp on Monday following his second trip back in a span of three weeks. Shipp took his official visit during the first weekend of June and was a central figure these past couple of days alongside Providence Day teammates Jadyn Davis and Channing Goodwin. Shipp also took part in many of the photos shot at The Big House which featured all of the offensive pledges. North Carolina will get the final official visit from Shipp and NC State hosted him last week but having two of his close friends at his high school set to sign with the Wolverines, his relationship with wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy and his frequent appearances in the past should propel him to Ann Arbor for college.

Four-star EDGE Devon Baxter, Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park

RPM: Michigan (96.1%), Virginia Tech (1.9%), Rutgers (1.2%)

The Skinny: The Wolverine was the first to issue predictions for Michigan to land Devon Baxter last month and now the high upside pass rusher will announce his commitment Monday at 8pm EST. Baxter’s official visit marked the first time that he ever stepped foot in Ann Arbor and by all accounts, it went off without a hitch. Staffer Dylan Roney has built a really good relationship with the junior and his family throughout the process as the team is eyeing four EDGE commits this cycle.

On300 OT Michael Uini, Copperas Cover (Tex.) High

RPM: Michigan (93.1%), Texas (1.7%), Alabama (1.1%)

The Skinny: In the last 24 hours, Michigan received two On3 predictions for Michael Uini to become the sixth offensive lineman take in 2024. U-M also still leads for fellow On300 offensive tackle Bennett Warren, who officially visited on June 9th, but no predictions have been released for him yet. Uini was able to spent 48 hours with all five of Michigan’s offensive line commits over the weekend and quickly got a good feel for them and the environment. Offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Sherrone Moore’s reputation for development is a major selling point for Uini as well.

Top 100 CB Aaron Scott, Springfield (Ohio) High

RPM: Ohio State (95.9%), Michigan (1.2%)

The Skinny: There wasn’t a need to remind Aaron Scott last weekend of how important he is to Michigan’s recruiting class this cycle and that’s why the visiting commits didn’t put the pressure on. Instead, the purpose of having Scott around the pledges was for him to sense the family feel on campus and expand their mutual friendship further. Confidence coming out of Scott’s official visit was because of Michigan knocking it out of the park. But on deck is Ohio State, who’ll have both Scott and Top 100 cornerback Bryce West together in Columbus on official visits this upcoming weekend. Scott will look to commit sometime in July.

On300 LB Jeremiah Beasley, Belleville (Mich.) High

RPM: Michigan (95.8%), Michigan State (2.1%)

The Skinny: Michigan wasn’t originally expected to get an official visit from Jeremiah Beasley this month because of his regular trips made over the course of the past year. Same goes for Michigan State but the projected WILL linebacker returned to both schools and will head to Missouri this weekend before his scheduled commitment date on June 29th. The Wolverines recently lost out on On300 linebacker Aaron Chiles to Florida so Beasley’s priority status for the program has heightened. Multiple predictions were made for Beasley to commit to Michigan back in April.
