Q&A With Top 100 In-State Michigan ATH Target CJ Sadler | #GoBlue

The Wolverine recently stopped by Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech to meet up with Top 100 2026 in-state Michigan athlete target CJ Sadler.

Watch the full Q&A above.

Sadler Recruitment

Sadler was offered by Michigan back when he was in middle school. So far in this recruitment process, Sadler has been to Ann Arbor on four unofficial visits, including three for games, most recently for the win over Ohio State in late November.

“Amazing,” Sadler told The Wolverine. “That whole day was great. Just seeing that next-level type of atmosphere, it’s always great to see, whether you’ve been there 1,000 times or not. Just seeing that win on the sideline, rushing the field, 100,000 people on the field, like on one field, it was so packed. Me, my mom, and my dad couldn’t move (laughs). But it was fun just watching everybody rushing the field with all the players. It was sweet. I know from a player’s standpoint, I’d be happy just seeing all the fans, all my classmates, everyone rushing the field, happy we won. That’s always great to see your city loving what you’re doing.”

Once spring camp is underway, Sadler will return to visiting schools making significant pushes, like Michigan.

“I feel like they want me there (and for me) to fall in love,” Sadler said. “It was always a great experience. They always showed love and made sure that they were family. I was taken care of, and so was anyone else I brought. It’s always nice going up there to Michigan, going to see what it’s like, talking to the coaching staff, meeting everybody, eating some good food, and seeing a win. It’s always fun to see that.”

Along with Michigan, Sadler currently holds other notable offers from Michigan State, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Penn State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Colorado, and others.

At 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, he’s listed as the No. 20 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four primary recruiting media services.
