In-state setter Malorie Boesiger is Nebraska's first 2027 commit

5-foot-10 setter Malorie Boesiger is Nebraska volleyball’s first Class of 2027 commit, she announced on Monday, June 16. She follows in the footsteps of her older sister, Maisie Boesiger, a senior Husker defensive specialist.
Malorie is the No. 14 overall-ranked prospect in the Class of 2027 according to PrepVolleyball.com and the No. 35 prospect by PrepDig.
“I’m extremely excited to announce my commitment to the University of Nebraska to further my academic and volleyball career!!!” Boesiger said on Instagram. “First, I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play the sport I love and glorify Him. I also want to thank my family for all the support and love they’ve given me. Thank you to my coaches and teammates who have pushed me to get better. Finally, I want to give a B1G thank you to Coach Dani, Coach Jaylen, Coach Kelly, and Coach Brennan for the incredible opportunity to live out my dream. I’m staying home!!! GO BIG RED!”

College coaches are allowed to officially start recruiting and offering the Class of 2027 starting on June 15. Boesiger did not hesitate to announce her commitment one day later.
Staying close to home
Boesiger is a rising junior at Norris High School, roughly 20 miles outside Lincoln. Malorie and Maisie were setters for the Titans and head coach Christina Boesiger, their mother.

The Titans won the NSAA Class B State Title in 2024, knocking off the nine-time reigning champions, Omaha Skutt. Malorie missed out on her sophomore season due to a knee injury. But she is back to 100% healthy for her junior season.
Norris claimed the Class B State Runners-up in 2023. As a freshman, Boesiger averaged 11.4 assists per set and 1,093 assists, according to MaxPreps.com. She served 76 aces in 96 sets and averaged 2.3 digs per set.
In May, Boesiger trained with the USA Volleyball during the National Training and Development Program in Colorado Springs, Colo.
