BREAKING: 2025 OL Alai Kalaniuvalu Flips Commitment From Oregon, Signs With BYU

2025 4-star Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman offensive lineman Alai Kalaniuvalu has signed with the BYU Cougars.
The 6-foot-3, 297-pound lineman has had quite the journey during his recruiting process. He originally committed to Oregon on July 10, 2024. He then flipped his commitment from Oregon to BYU on November 2.
Then Kalaniuvalu had another change of heart and on December 5 he decided to sign with Oregon during the early signing period. Now, on Tuesday, BYU Football announced his signing on their official X account.

Kalaniuvalu is originally from Orem, Utah and compiled 29 reported scholarship offers during his high school career. Prior to Tuesday, he was one of two offensive lineman to sign with Oregon from the 2025 class, along with 4-star interior offensive lineman Douglas Utu.
Kalaniuvalu was an Under Armour All-American and had also planned to take a two-year mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints throughout his recruitment.
Oregon’s 2025 signing class now sits at at 18 prospects from the high school ranks.
