So far we’ve seen a number of mock drafts from PFF, ESPN and others following the NFL Combine. Bo Nix seems to be a very polarizing figure among many. He’s going anywhere from the top ten to the second round.

Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson seems to be the most consistent landing in the mid-teens of most.

CBS Sports updated its mock draft Wednesday morning. It includes the Duck duo going in the first round with a very interesting landing spot for Bo Nix.

FWIW, this is the first mock draft I’ve seen listing J.J. McCarthy ahead of Drake Maye. It also is the first mock draft I’ve seen with Maye going outside the top 10.

Oregon wide receiver Troy Franklin was not listed in the first round mock draft.

Pick 17: Denver Broncos

Bo Nix

“After sliding back, the Broncos get their quarterback to be the point guard in Sean Payton’s system. Perfect draft navigation here.”

Pick 21: Miami Dolphins

Jackson Powers-Johnson

“JPJ didn’t do the full workout in Indianapolis despite clearly being a high-level athlete on film. That indicates his camp realizes he’s quite easily the top center in the class. And the Dolphins have to find a quality starter to snap to Tua Tagovailoa.”
