SMU Football learns kickoff times for East Texas A&M, Baylor, Missouri State

SMU will kick off the season on the network the Mustangs spent plenty of time on in 2024, the ACC Network. Rhett Lashlee & Co. open the season Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. CT in Gerald J. Ford Stadium.

Next week, the Baylor Bears come to Dallas in a matchup of former Southwest Conference rivals. Kickoff is set for Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. CT on The CW. SMU makes the return trip to Baylor in 2026. The Mustangs and Bears last played in 2016.

Finally, the Mustangs head to Missouri State for a road matchup on Sept. 13 at 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network. The Mustangs will head to Robert W. Plaster Stadium in Springfield in 2025, while the Bears will come to Ford Stadium on Sept. 26, 2026. This will be the first meeting between the two teams.

Last year, SMU made the ACC Championship and College Football Playoff. The Mustangs capped an 11-3 season in the first year in the ACC for the Mustangs.

The 2025 ACC Football Championship Game from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, will kick off at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, December 6, on ABC.

Additional game times and television designations for the remainder of the season will be announced as the season progresses on a 12-day or six-day notice via theACC.com and on the ACC’s official digital platforms.
