Other scholarship offers: Alabama, FSU, Georgia Tech, Minnesota, Nebraska, NC State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee

Why South Carolina? “The thing that stands out is he (RB coach Montario Hardesty) knows what it takes to get to the next level. He knows what I need to do to develop me to get to the next level. Me and him have been talking for a while and he is a pretty cool person. I like him a lot.”

Scouting report from On3: Big-play running back with the speed to hit home runs from anywhere on the field. One of the faster top running back prospects in the 2023 cycle. The Georgia 2A state champion in the 100 (10.72 seconds) and 200 (21.99 seconds) meters as a junior. Pairs that speed with a solid, 5-foot-11, 200-pound build. Ran for 1,081 yards on just 80 carries as a junior, good for 13.5 yards per carry. Consistently pulls away from defensive backs once he gets to the second level. Often employed on outside runs, where he and use his top-end speed to beat defenders to the edge. Shows good leg drive and contact balance to break tackles. Capable of sticking his foot in the ground and getting upfield in a hurry. A solid pass catcher out of the backfield in camp and 7-on-7 settings. Can look to make risky cutbacks across the field that are unlikely to translate to the college level. Shows a high-end skill set as a runner, but has a lighter workload and sample size relative to other top backs.

About GamecockCentral.com

Gamecock Central has five full-time employees and several part-time specialists and has been a fully-credentialed media outlet for 20 years.

But that hasn’t always been the case.

Here’s a message from Gamecock Central founder Brian Shoemaker:

Crazy Start

Gamecock Central was started as a hobby.

It immediately turned into an all-encompassing passion.

In late 1999, it became my full-time job.

Today, I remain the owner.

Pretty good for a guy who failed his first computer class at USC.

My family and I are extremely fortunate. My wife prefers to say we’re blessed.

Passion

The reason we exist separates us from other media outlets.

I had no thoughts of the site becoming a business.

The first attempt at generating revenue didn’t occur until 10 months after launch when ads were added.

Gamecock Central’s foundation — our roots, our basic DNA — will always be different than other sites.

Certainly, we have a bottom line, but there’s a bigger picture.

Professional Coverage

Of course, passion alone isn’t enough to satisfy our subscribers.

We have a tremendous team of insiders, analysts, and photographers.

They provide the most in-depth, accurate, and professional coverage of Gamecock sports and recruiting.

And we have The Insiders Forum. It’s where the most hardcore fans hang out and discuss the Gamecocks.

Some are positive, some are “realistic” and some probably yell too much, but they all love Carolina.
