The second commitment of the 2025 class is now on board for the South Carolina Gamecocks, as Concord (North Carolina) Robinson wide receiver Brian Rowe has made his pledge to Shane Beamer.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder was on campus in Columbia on Tuesday taking in a South Carolina spring practice session.

Shortly after concluding his weekly press conference, Beamer sent out his patented “#WelcomeHome” message on social media signifying Rowe’s commitment.

In an interview with GamecockCentral.com about the choice, Rowe said he knew back in January, after his first campus visit, that South Carolina would be the place for him.

“I just had to be there one more time to see if it would be the same,” he explained. “All the love, it was the same and I thought I was going to fit in there. Everybody is like a family there and I know I can really help the team.”

Rowe joins fellow wide receiver Jayden Sellers as members of USC’s 2025 class.

New South Carolina wide receivers coach Mike Furrey has also made a significant positive impression on Rowe in the short time that the two have known each other.

“He’s all about business,” Rowe said. “He knows what he’s talking about and I feel like he’s going to make me better.”

Several other power conference programs had extended offers to Rowe, including Duke, Miami, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, and Michigan State.

Rowe has had an official visit set to up check out the Gamecocks program in person once again the weekend of June 7.

Shane Beamer was very excited to hear the news of Rowe’s commitment in his office on Tuesday afternoon.

“He had to sit down,” Rowe laughed. “He was very excited.”

The On3 Industry Ranking – a weighted average of all four major recruiting services – has Rowe as the 55th-best receiver prospect in the country and 10th overall in the state of North Carolina.

As a junior, he tallied 50 receptions for 1,063 yards and 15 touchdowns.
