On3 updated its football prospect rankings for the 2025 cycle this week including a huge batch of new ratings for prospects in the state of South Carolina, many of whom are priority targets for the Gamecocks.

As of right now, South Carolina has nine known offers out to in-state recruits in the 2025 class, and all of those prospects now have ratings on the On3 platform.

As a reminder, these are rankings specifically produced by On3’s rankings team meaning these are different than the On3 Industry Ranking, which is a weighted average of the rankings from On3, 247Sports, Rivals, and ESPN.

This release marks the first update since mid-fall and is one of the more extensive overhauls over the course of the year for On3.

The number in parenthesis is where the prospect ranks in the state of South Carolina in the On3 rankings.

DL Amare Adams (1)

Florence (S.C.) South Florence | 6-6, 250 | Four-star | 92 rating | No. 104 OVR, No. 10 DL
South Carolina offer ✅ (committed to Clemson)

We list Adams here even though he’s committed to Clemson since he had an early offer from the Gamecocks and was considered a priority target. There’s been no reason to believe Adams isn’t firmly committed to the Tigers at this point but we’ll keep tracking him.

EDGE Jaquavous Dodd (3)

Taylors (S.C.) Eastside | 6-6, 215 | Four-star | 91 rating | No. 138 OVR, No. 15 EDGE

Go ahead and call Dodd the “Charles Power Special” for this class. On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings has never been shy about going out on a limb and highly ranking a lesser-known prospect. Many of those guys go on to be highly regarded targets in their cycle. Dodd doesn’t have a big offer list yet but if the past is any indication, that will soon change. South Carolina is aware of the long, athletic pass-rusher.

WR Malik Clark (4)

Rock Hill (S.C.) | 6-foot-3, 180-pounds | Four-star | 90 rating | No. 258 OVR, No. 38 WR
South Carolina offer ✅

South Carolina’s top in-state receiver target for the 2025 class, Clark has an early offer from the Gamecocks as well as schools like North Carolina and Tennessee, among many others. It seems like each school in that trio will be a factor.

EDGE Anthony Addison (5)

Sumter (S.C.) | 6-foot-4, 215-pounds | Three-star | 89 rating | No. 37 EDGE
South Carolina offer ✅

Addison finds himself just outside of four-star status in the On3 rankings as an 89 rating is the highest in the three-star tier. Addison, who finished his junior campaign with 96 tackles, 6 sacks, 25 TFLs, a forced fumble, and a pick-six, also has offers from Tennessee, West Virginia, USF, Cincinnati, Duke, and Coastal Carolina, among others.

WR Jayden Sellers (6)

Florence (S.C.) South Florence | 5-foot-11, 170-pounds | Three-star | 89 rating | No. 71 WR
South Carolina offer ✅ (committed to South Carolina)

The younger brother of South Carolina redshirt freshman quarterback LaNorris Sellers, Jayden debuts in the On3 rankings as a high-three-star prospect and the No. 71 WR in the class. He committed to South Carolina in October.

RB LaDainnian Martin (7)

Greer (S.C.) | 5-foot-10, 165-pounds | Three-star | 89 rating | No. 36 RB

Martin is the No. 2 running back in the state for 2025 behind Clemson commit Marquis Henderson. Martin doesn’t yet have an offer from the Gamecocks but the running back board could be still being shaped with a new coach there. Martin is a four-star according to 247Sports and a low three according to Rivals, so there are differing opinions.

CB Onis Konanbanny (9)

Columbia (S.C.) Heathwood Hall | 6-foot-2, 170-pounds | Three-star | 88 rating | No. 47 CB
South Carolina offer ✅

Konanbanny landed an offer from South Carolina earlier this month and has a big offer list with North Carolina, Miami, Penn State, Tennessee, and many others involved. He’s the top cornerback in the 2025 cycle and the On3 Industry Rankiing is considerably high on him, rating him a four-star.

TE Mike Tyler (11)

Columbia (S.C.) Hammond School | 6-foot-4, 220-pounds | Three-star | 88 rating | No. 33 TE
South Carolina offer ✅

The wide receiver-turned-tight-end is the top tight end in the state and has the upside to climb these rankings. In addition to South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, UCF, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Duke are among those involved.

S DaMarcus Leach (13)

Abbeville (S.C.) | 6-foot-3, 185-pounds | Three-star | 87 rating | No. 43 S
South Carolina offer ✅

South Carolina and Virginia Tech were the first Power 5s to offer Leach last summer.

ATH AJ Brand (14)

Irmo (S.C.) | 6-foot-2, 183-pounds | Three-star | 87 rating | No. 37 ATH
South Carolina offer ✅

A standout at quarterback and on the hardwood, Brand is being prioritized as a defensive back by the Gamecocks, much like former Spring Valley quarterback DQ Smith.

OT Shed Sarratt (16)

Gaffney (S.C.) | 6-foot-5, 300-pounds | Three-star | 86 rating | No. 56 OT
South Carolina offer ✅

The state’s top offensive tackle for the cycle, Saratt has an early offers from the Gamecocks as well as Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, NC State, and Georgia Tech, among others.
