On3 on Monday debuted its initial 2026 On300, featuring the top 300 prospects in the class, and South Carolina quarterback commit Landon Duckworth easily made the list.

The Jackson (Ala.) class of 2026 signal-caller is a four-star prospect and is ranked the No. 8 quarterback in the class. He checks in as the No. 144 overall prospect as well as the No. 8 recruit in the state of Alabama.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder is also a four-star in the rankings from 247Sports and Rivals. His On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average of the major services, puts him as the No. 56 overall prospect and No. 5 quarterback in his class.

Duckworth put up big numbers as a sophomore, racking up just shy of 2,000 passing yards and 27 touchdowns through the air along with 371 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground, often in limited action because he was pulled early from games.

Duckworth initially committed to the Gamecocks last August.

“I had an idea going into that visit that I was going to commit,” Duckworth told On3. “One big thing was that we stay in contact and talk all the time. No other school stayed in contact like that. I could tell we were really locked in with each other. … I just had a different feeling up there and I feel comfortable with my decision.”

South Carolina offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains played a major role in his decision as well.

“I like the way Coach Loggains talks to me and treats me,” Duckworth said. “I can talk to Coach Loggains like we’re best friends. We understand each other and we can talk good football together.”

Duckworth is the Gamecocks’ lone commitment for the class of 2026. He is also one of 12 prospects in the initial On300 for the class who are already verbally committed.

The first On300 features three five-star prospects and 147 four-star recruits.
