On3 has updated its prospect rankings for the 2024 cycle and one South Carolina football commitment has made a massive leap in the latest round.

Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County running back Matthew Fuller is now a four-star prospect in the On3 Rankings and is considered the No. 283 overall prospect and No. 23 running back as well as the No. 32 prospect in Georgia in the 2024 class.

Fuller, who originally debuted as a three-star prospect on On3, committed to the Gamecocks in late June.

With the move into the On300, Fuller has also moved up in the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average of the four major recruiting media companies.

The Industry Ranking considers Fuller a three-star prospect with a rating of 87.52 and he’s now ranked the No. 664 overall prospect and No. 53 running back in his class. At the time of his commitment, he was considered the No. 67 running back.

As a junior, the 6-foot, 210-pound Fuller racked up 1,757 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 6.8 yards per carry in the process.

He went over the 100-yard mark in 10 separate games with a long run on the season of 83 yards for head high school coach Jaybo Shaw, who is the brother of former South Carolina great Connor Shaw.

With the move up to four-star status on On3, Fuller is now a four-star prospect on both On3 and ESPN while he’s a three-star on 247Sports and Rivals.

On3’s Charles Power on latest ranking update

This rankings release marks the third update this year and is primarily driven by in-person evaluations at major national events over the past several months and acquisition of updated verified data on hundreds of prospects from this summer.

The On3 national team was at several major events in the past few months: the Elite 11 FinalsOvertime’s 7v7 events, and Under Armour regional camps in AtlantaOrlandoDallas and Los Angeles.

Updated 2024 On300

Similar to this time last cycle, we’ve gathered a bunch of verified information (measurements, athletic testing data) from various sources. We’ve compiled official measurements (some combination if not all of height, weight, arm length, hand size) on close to 85% of the current On300. The high school track season has also come to a close since the last update, adding important athletic context. A good bit of this new data is actionable and helps paint a current picture as the 2024 cycle enters the senior season.

The in-person evaluations and verified data helps to supplement and add vital context to evaluations from the junior season. Ranking high school prospects in real time calls for continual updates and necessary changes in order to present an accurate, current snapshot. Prospects often drastically change over the two to three years of a recruiting cycle’s life-span.

Additionally, it’s critical to recognize that the most important evaluation points for the majority of prospects — the senior season and all-star games (for some) — have not yet occurred. This is still very much a work-in-progress ranking that sets the table for those key evaluation points. Also note while there are many prospects who actively rose or fell, the majority of On300 members did not see their rating change.
