The first national signing day for college football begins December 20 and runs through December 22. This series gives you the chance to familiarize yourself with the next class charged with keeping Texas in a position of national prominence.

To win at a consistently high level means stacking talented class after talented class. The top-five 2024 class does just that following top-five finishes in the 2022 and 2023 classes.

On the first national signing day, Inside Texas will offer profiles of each member of the 2024 signing class. Up next, Parker Livingstone

The Player: Parker Livingstone, WR, Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy

The Rating: 89.96 (four-star)

The Ranking: Livingstone is ranked as the No. 328 overall prospect, the No. 55 wide receiver, and the No. 50 prospect in Texas in the On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranks Livingstone as the No. 71 wide receiver and the No. 74 prospect in Texas.

The Highlights:

The Recruitment: There was early interest in Baylor and Arkansas, but this one came down to the Longhorns and the South Carolina Gamecocks. After Livingstone and Chris Jackson built a relationship on top of what Steve Sarkisian had created with the DFW area multi-sport athlete, this one was done for the Longhorns.

The Projection: Livingstone has good hands, a pretty big frame at 6-foot-4, and looks pretty comfortable getting the ball in traffic. In fact he was injured during a playoff game against South Oak Cliff his junior season after leaving his feet to snag a dig route over the middle and landing hard. His speed is hard to discern between old track times and reported mph on his HUDL but his footwork off the line of scrimmage is good and he certainly gets down the field. He’d be an X receiver at Texas after filling out past 200 pounds who could be a target at the chains or downfield. – Ian Boyd

The Reasoning: “It’s Texas. If UT asks you to take an official visit, you say okay and do it. My family had a great time. The players were awesome, the coaches were great. It’s just a really good culture down there. You can tell the team likes being around each other.”

The Enrollment: Livingstone is an early enrollee.

The Final Word: If not for an early season injury, Livingstone likely has a big year for the Leopards. He may not be asked to contribute early, but the Longhorns added a great wideout to the fold who’ll be able to contribute at the boundary position.
