In this episode, Justin and Gerry discuss…

  • Justin and Gerry begin with the latest from the Lafayette (La.) Acadiana defensive tackle and On3 Industry Ranking five-star Dominick McKinley. He’s ready to announce his commitment on Friday, September 1st. Texas continues to pursue the Pelican State prospect, with Oklahoma and Texas A&M pushing hard down the stretch.
  • Texas priority target and Waco (Texas) Connally cornerback Kobe Black was next on the agenda. Inside Texas will be in Waco on Friday night for the Connally-La Vega contest. Despite Black’s insistence on waiting until December for a decision, sources indicate it probably won’t go that long. He’s looking at LSU and Alabama trips, and potentially Oregon, even though the Ducks visit might not happen.
  • Justin and Gerry discuss more EDGE prospects in Danny Okoye, Zina Umeozulu, and Solomon Williams. Okoye is set to see Austin on September 16th for the Texas-Wyoming game, and Justin mentions to watch Tennessee in this recruitment. Okoye has an unofficial visit scheduled for Rocky Top on September 30th. Umeozulu will visit UT this weekend for the Texas-Rice contest, and Texas continues to look solid in this pursuit. Gerry mentions the Horns staff staying in contact with Williams, the Tampa Bay native.
