In this episode, Justin and Joe discuss:

  1. Justin and Joe open with UT’s Spring football at the midway point, with the Orange-White scrimmage less than a month away on April 15th. Quarterback Quinn Ewers continues to assert himself as a leader among the Longhorns, being more vocal and actively helping teammates, coaches. The offensive line is in a position of strength moving many young linemen around, cross-training many to find the best five and best eight by June. Wide Receiver isn’t a concern with the return of Xavier Worthy and Jordan Whittington, not to mention the additions of Johntay Cook, Deandre Moore, and AD Mitchell. On defense, identifying an game-breaker at EDGE remains the truest question mark. The defensive line is a strength, the elder linebackers are bringing along the younger ones, and the secondary has experience with an influx of athleticism.
  2. Justin and Joe discuss the annual Texas Relays track meet in Austin beginning Thursday-Saturday. From UT receiver Brenen Thompson racing in the college ranks, to Texas signee Jelani McDonald competing in multiple events, to the top wideout target in the 2024 cycle, Micah Hudson from Lake Belton. Speaking of the Broncos, On3 four-star Selman Bridges will be competing, and at 6-foot-4, is an intriguing prospect with tons of upside. Waco Connally four-star and one of the nation’s top corner’s Kobe Black will be in the house, along with Lancaster’s Corian Gipson and Timpson’s Terry Bussey.
  3. Justin and Joe the advantage the Texas athletic department gets from having the national event on the UT campus. There are rules for unofficial visits to the athletic facilities, but you’re still keeping the prospect in the Austin ecosphere.
