Scott, who attended UTSA for a brief time before fully embarking on his music career, met with a number of UT athletes including members of the men’s and women’s basketball programs. Texas football head coach Steve Sarkisian also presented Scott with a Longhorn football jersey.

Some of Scott’s wares can be found here.

Several Texas football players who were available to the media on Thursday were excited about Scott, one of the biggest current superstars in music, fashion, and pop culture, showing up and showing love for the burnt orange.

“It was a pretty cool experience, him coming out there and showing support,” junior offensive tackle Kelvin Banks said.

Said sophomore linebacker Anthony Hill, “It was amazing seeing him out here. It was kind of a surprise. We didn’t know. It’s amazing that we know we’ve got celebrity fans and fans watching us from all over the world.”

Added sophomore running back CJ Baxter, “It was definitely cool. Surprising, but definitely cool. We’re at the University of Texas, so sometimes it’s not really a surprise because of the amount of people we know.”

As mentioned, football wasn’t the only program that got to spend time with Scott. Texas men’s basketball’s Devon Pryor, Kadin Shedrick, Chendall Weaver, Preston Clark, and Cole Bott met Scott.

From Vic Schaefer’s team, 11 from the Longhorns’ Elite Eight team made it out to Campbell-Williams Field to meet the superstar.

Scott is seeing a number of college campuses as part of the release of his new line. There was a line on Thursday afternoon stretching from the Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Complex to the entrance of the UT Club at Robert Dedman Dr. and Clyde Littlefield Dr.

He and Fanatics founder and CEO Michael Rubin will be speaking at an on-campus event later Thursday evening.
