Game time, channel set for USC - Oregon State

USC’s conference game against Oregon State in Corvallis on September 24 will kick off at 6:30 pm PT. It will air live on Pac-12 Network.

That means two of USC’s first four games of the 2022 season will air on Pac-12 Network. The Trojans’ season-opener against Rice was shown on Pac-12 Network as well. USC’s recent 41-28 win against Stanford came before a national ABC audience. The Trojans’ upcoming home game against Fresno State this Saturday will air at 7:30 pm on FOX.

The only other game with a set time and channel at this point is USC’s Friday night game against Colorado. That matchup will kick at 6:30 pm on November 11 and air on FS1.

That means fewer eyeballs on potentially one of the best Pac-12 games of the early season. The Pac-12 Network’s lack of availability for many college football fans has been long documented. Oregon State is also performing renovations to Reser Stadium, knocking about 13,000 seats off capacity for this 2022 season. That means the expected sellout crowd for the game against USC will feature fans in just 26,407 seats.

USC will have its hands full the next few weeks. What looked to be a long slate of warm-up games before a trip to Salt Lake City and the Utah Utes now looks far more challenging.

It starts with Fresno State and the veteran duo of quarterback Jake Haener and head coach Jeff Tedford this Saturday. Then it’s a trip to Oregon State. The Beavers completed a gutsy comeback against Fresno State this past weekend, scoring a game-winning touchdown with no time left on the clock. The Beavers have a tune-up game against Montana State this weekend before hosting the Trojans.

The Trojans then host an Arizona State team with a very good rushing attack and a Washington State program coming off a huge road win against a ranked Wisconsin team. And that trip to Utah on Oct. 15 still looms.
