Looks like we get Kane after 5 pm today!!!
Vesey to the 4th line with Goodrow and Motte….that’s pretty good.
The Tank unfortunately playing like a slow old German Tiger Tank.
He’s doing nothing for that line in any zone
Trochek living his dream, the man is going to center Panarin and Kane….he must be going insane over it.
It’s like playing center field between Winfield and Joe Di’Maggio

As I said when he was acquired…that’s how Tarasenko has been all year. Not the player he once was, nor obviously is Kane. But Kane shoujd have a bigger impact for sure.

Yes Kane can still carry and protect the puck like a Dennis Savard, he will definitely be impactful

Agree.

The rangers issue is defense though and Kane provides very little. We will see how this trade when’s out.

Looking that way now!
Have to hope playoff hockey and the way the game is played will ignite Tank.
Here’s the thing Mike, if we play the Devils in the 1st round, their speed and the way they move will leave Tarasenko in the dust

One thousand percent.

With Meier I give the edge to Devils. Not upgrading their D won’t help the Rangers

Fine line… obviously the best defense is playing in the other teams zone, and no one expects Kane to be a shot blocking, back checking winger.
Here’s the fine line, helping on the break out and getting through the neutral zone.
We do way to much puck reversal, I need Kane to improve the breakout with speed in the proper friggen direction, not backwards…lol

Tied for the third lowest goals allowed and the second best goal differential in the league. A third pairing defensemen that can push Bahl and Smith out of the lineup would be a nice addition, but the defense certainly doesn't need an overhaul.

You just agreed with me

Starting to feel like the West is going to be far better rested by the Finals.

Bettman's parity is lacking . . .or is it parody.
There's not really much Bettman can do about parity between conferences, unless you want him to redraw the divisions again. These things ebb and flow, sometimes the West is better, right now the East is.

Need Bedard to head out West, Sharks, Coyotes, I don't care, the last thing we need is him in Columbus or Montreal.

Same could be about the B1G.🤷‍♂️

Eh there certainly is a disparity but there is more parity in the NHL, and the entry draft makes for fluctuations in the balance of power so it's not the same handful of teams always at the top.

A friend of mine just sent this great description of the recent trades and looming playoff race: "The East is preparing for a cannibalistic trench war and the West is fingerpainting." 😆

I didn’t think the Rangers’ chances were good enough this year to use assets to get Tarasenko OR Kane, but it is hard to argue with Drury using the leverage correctly and getting Kane for not much (I especially like them giving up none of their prospects).

It's going to be interesting how the Rangers handle this with Kane coming on and the cap because even so Miller is suspended without pay, it still counts against the cap.
I missed something...why does a 3 game suspension have any salary cap implications?

I certainly wasn’t the only one as another poster also disagrees it’s “lacking”.

Think it was your post that was confusing, but you seem to agree we just need a 3rd pairing D. So we agree and no confusion here
If you’ve watched them all season it is obvious what spot is lacking. 6th defenseman

Harrington has been claimed by the Ducks.

While Bahl has been playing better lately, I do expect the Devils to get a defenseman or 2. It is nice getting Timo and still having so many tradable assets.

Personally I would like TVR and Tom Wilson.
