He should have been fired within that hour…
A complete embarrassment for this University (and Howard was a repeat offender).

Juwan at least pulled his mask up before arguing with Gard. What an era...lol

not an anniversary...a memory to be forgotten...Juwan Howard is a gentlemen and a Michigan graduate...one of our most prized M dignitaries...lucky to have him in our M family....
if we wanted to there are 100s of wonderful stories about him...i recall one where a young disabled child came to one of his clinics...the parents were in tears recalling his kindness to the child and family....details murky as i cant recall...but that story one of too-many-to-count....go blue!

I don't care about all what happened between Juwan and Gard. The slap over the guys was dumb.

Gotta love sports. The only place you can smack or punch people and keep your job.
I work as a manager at a trucking company, if I went to the Michigan Truck Driving Championships in June and smacked the manager of another trucking company, unless someone's life is in danger, there's no way I'd keep my job.
The people making millions of dollars have the least to lose when losing their temper at work.
I guess I'm just bitter and jealous because I want to punch people with little, to no, repercussions. Calm down. I don't want to punch everyone! Just stupid people!

LosAngelesWolverine said:I agree, I said it then and still believe that if Gard just lets Howard walk by nothing happens. Don’t put your hands on another man, even if it is to stop him to talk. Gard also didn’t read the room well when Howard told him not to “fucking touch” him. At that point walk away, because you just angered a man a foot taller than you.Not a good look at all. With that said, Gard wasn't blameless either.

He took over a generationally elite basketball culture from Beilein and left it 8-24. He had to be restrained and got ejected at Maryland. He then got into a physical altercation with Gard and was placed in a zero tolerance policy as a result. Then there was some still yet undefined confrontation with Sanderson. If you have no emotional ties to him or Michigan I’m not sure how you can see his tenure here in a positive light unfortunately. I don’t think we will ever go 3-17 in the big ten again in my lifetime.Juwan was a good coach. I hate seeing shots taken at him. Let's remember we made the Sweet 16 that season. Sikkema said:That kind of season is going to happen on occasion in today's CBB. It's happening to Altman at Oregon this year. Injuries and other factors. Nobody pays much attention to the whys, but we lost our top transfer Nkhouma to injury, McDaniel had academic issues, we lost HD to NIL and we could not get players admitted as transfers. Two starters from the prior year went pro. We had zero NIL at that time. Even Dusty faced this last year and to his credit he is improving it, but we are also more open to it now. Juwan arrived right when the portal and NIL was blowing up; it was not what he signed up for which was HS recruiting. In addition, his HS recruiting was so strong that we were losing guys after 1-2 years. That last time lost Jett and Bufkin, and the team before lost DIabate and Houstan. We never got to see those players develop like we are seeing with a Mara or a Cason or what we might see next year from McKenney. Let's also remember that in Year 2 he had an outright B10 title (something JB only did once) and a 1 seed (something that had not been done since 1993).I grew up watching him and the fab 5. He appeared to be of the highest character, came back to finish his degree and appeared to be a good human being. He took over a generationally elite basketball culture from Beilein and left it 8-24.
