Will Tang go after him?

if Alexander wants him, that's cool. personally i'm a bit wary of 3pt specialists who don't play a lick of defense (or do anything else really) nowadays

With his story of being a walk-on twice and turning down big NIL deals to stay at Belmont last year, I can really see him going to the highest bidder and finally getting the money he deserves. I hope its us!

He's begging Lundblade's girlfriend for his phone number.

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying about being a 3 point specialist only, but I think he’s elite there. Also how does someone that can only shoot threes (which I believe is mostly true) end up as the MVC player of the year? Was the conference that bad?

So he did get a medical redshirt for one of the TCU years? Or he will be applying for a hardship waiver?

Probably the hardship waiver if I was to guess. His case is very similar to PJ Haggerty's and Haggerty was listed as a junior this season. Ironic now since they were teammates in the 22-23 season. Both only played in 6 games that season.

most efficient scorer on the most efficient offense and league winner because he had such low assist and turnover numbers, he actually has what feels like a low usage rate, which is kind of wild. also lowers some of his other numbers, like PER, because he doesn't do much else. if he wants to be a 34 MPG player, i hope it's not here.... at a reduced role at fair comp? we could/should gamble

If we were choosing between him Abdi and Kostic for the role (we probably aren't) it makes the most sense to take the guy who already knows the system.

I want Coach Alexander to get who he wants in year 1 staff and players. I may scratch my head a bit, but just as my philosophy with Collin Klein, I am buying in no matter what in year 1 until you show me where some deficiencies are in scheme, construction and/or identification.

He's a less complete basketball player than Abdi Bashir. If he comes to K-State he can't be the guy.

I assume he'd pretty much be the Abdi replacement, playing off guard while we bring in a stud lead guard (or two). Hard for me to turn away a guy who has shot .537/.439/.938 over the last two years under Alexander.

I wouldn't be surprised if we went after him, but we may want/need to be picky about what we spend since we need to fill out a full roster and we need guys that can defend, too.

I get all of this but I just can't get out of my head that he has found his level and that is why he is successful. I am worried about his lack of athletic ability and how it translates to the Big 12. If he does come here, I hope I am wrong.

People are skeptical of a two time walk-on who worked his ass off and stayed loyal to his coach last year when he could have left for more money? Not to mention he's a high volume shooter at 40%+ from three, and he's a white boy that rocks a head band. Sign me up.
