From what I’ve read briefly of his skillset (I can’t lie and claim to have seen him play) and his Southern Miss roots have me hoping we’ve found our own version of Jamie Collins. A guy can dream anyway.

Difficult to get too excited about him: #428 in the portal and the 38th ranked linebacker. Maybe he is not ranked so high because of where he played. I have no idea.

The more I think about that stat, I wonder: Could he be that good or could it be that Southern was that bad and he was on the field more than most defensive players and had more opportunities to make tackles. As I said- I have no idea.

When they played State he had 13 tackles.

#150 in the portal and #10 amongst LB’s as per On3.

One of the guys in the linebacker room at southern last season graduated from my high school. Tonight that teammate played basketball with me and a group of guys tonight at my church. We got to talking after playing about how crazy the portal has been. He specifically told me to that he is a DOG. Flys down hill and is quick. Makes tons of plays but that his biggest weakness as a player is that he struggles with defensive schemes if they are complex. The less he has to think the better he is according to his teammate.

He had a lot of offers and Kansas St and FSU were supposed to get visits, but we shut it down.
