Yeah, he was on the bench during our games this weekend.

I think it was at BWA last week so that’s kind of why I’m wondering why it was posted now

Akransas is better without him. Would be nice for depth, but he’s been awful against anyone with a pulse. Hope he does well at his next school.

Vandy, Tenn, and Texas Tech(with Toppin) were pretty good games against top 25 teams.

If nothing else just make him questionable and maybe waste 30 minutes of Zona practice time game planning for newish player. If he does play I am pretty certain he will be a break glass in case of emergency situation. He struggled holding on to the ball when he was a regular rotation player and Cal wont take the chance of ruining the flow we have currently. I wish he could put him in and just say be physical and get every rebound that comes your way, but coming off a leg injury I just don't seem him feeling confident enough to play that role.

Seriously doubt he would play but on the other hand AZ may foul out our entire front line so we may be desperate for bodies

20 and 6 against Texas Tech 11 and 7 against Tennessee 16 and 4 against Vandy He also averaged 14 and 5 in the NCAAT last year and had 20pts 6rebs in the Sweet 16. Arkansas will take any and every minute on the court from Karter (and Pringle) that it can get against Arizona.

Have to love Arkansas fans. You could be ass for 90% of your games and they'll still blindly hope we pay the player instead of getting better or take minutes away from a guy who is actually producing in the biggest game we've had in years. Guy is averaging like 8 ppg over a 60-game data set, Arkansas is 19-20 in Q1/2 games he plays in and 11-2 in games he doesn't. Has 91 points in 14 Q1/2 games in '26, or 6.5 ppg. If Richmond played like Ewin, yeah, I'd want him to get a spell so he could get his energy back. Richmond is our highest energy player, I want him playing more, not less. As for next year, SF/CG is an absolute log jam. Don't need an inefficient headcase incapable of dribbling the ball more than two times without an ill-advised euro leading to a turnover. ESPECIALLY if you're only planning an 8-9 man roster. You can't have ANOTHER wing and it be someone who doesn't fill a hole. Pringle I agree with. Ewin after about 2 minutes looks like he's mid-hangover and can only muster a light jog up the court.

Brother, we have 6 healthy players. The Hogs have been one foul away from Elmir or Karuletwa playing in many situations this season, and Billy catches cramps down the stretch of big games very frequently. Per 40 minutes: Billy Richmond = 16.1ppg / 6.3 reb / 2.9 ast Karter Knox = 14.7 ppg / 8.1 reb / 2.2 ast Billy has the slight edge on blocks/steals and Karter is a near 40% 3pt shooter vs Billy at 25%. You want both on your team.

Some people just get biases in their heads about certain players and can't let them go. In this case it seems like it's due more to preseason expectations than anything, which is fair to a point in that Knox hasn't come anywhere near those. It's like the guy on X I finally blocked who is constantly talking about how glad he will be when Brazile is gone. Even after a 24 point performance by TB he replied "yeah, but he only had four points in the first half." The same guy was ready for Muss to be fired sometime around late 2021 and never wavered.

The difference is Karter's stats you pulled were grossly skewed against shit teams and Billy's were all against good teams. vs Q1/2 per 40 Knox = 11.9 pts / 6.9 reb / 1.8 ast / 1.6 tov Pringle = 8.0 pts / 7.1 reb / 1.0 ast / 2.2 tov You switch their jerseys and from a production standpoint, the only thing you'd see different over a 40-minute span vs good teams is Knox gets 1 more assist and a three-pointer to go in. Absence has made the heart grow fonder for the Hog fans on Knox. The only reason I want Pringle to play is that Arizona's biggest strength is in the post, and Ewin gets tired after about 2 minutes of gameplay.

Which one? Pre-season ankle, knee, or the yeast infection?

Let's delve into hypotheticals briefly. Assume that we end up with the Arizona game being officiated like a typical SEC matchup rather than the somewhat normal calls we've seen in the first two. Entirely possible as I've seen both Joe Lindsay and Doug Shows calling tournament games already. Suppose Billy gets two quick fouls Thursday night, or maybe picks up his third and fourth fairly quickly in the second half. For the sake of argument let's say DJ or Meleek are also in foul trouble at that time. Wouldn't you rather have someone like Knox at 85% to play 4-5 minutes versus having to give Sealy those minutes? A guy who can knock down an open three and maybe grab a rebound or two versus one who's looked lost in limited minutes down the stretch? You seem to be assuming that those of us wanting to see Knox back are expecting him to go back to the same minutes he was getting pre-injury. In reality all of us realize that if he plays it's going to be in a scenario like I outlined above, maybe 2-3 minutes at a time to give someone a break or to keep from having to play #0 or Elmir in the event someone in the rotation fouls out. No one wants or expects him to be a key rotation piece for the rest of this season.
