Kentucky Basketball Is On Life Support

Pope is gonna have one miserable of an offseason if he misses the tournament and decides to return. I know I’d be scared stiff. But he’s got $5 million reasons to try again.

That's why it's just time to cut our loses and just fire Pope. We literally have nothing to lose at this point.

If you could guarantee me that we would go after Hurley, Oats, Pearl, etc, as U have said before, I would drive Pope to the Airport. But if we don't fire MB, our next coach will be Scott Drew or the equivalent, and we would be three more years behind

imagine being the AD presiding over that and the Stoops fiasco and you still have your job

Pope simply HAS to get much better players. It is just that simple. He and his staff know this.

This is correct. There is absolutely no reason to give Mark another year. He can’t coach. He’s made that clear. He can’t recruit, he’s made that clear. He can’t construct a roster, can’t handle the media, can’t manage a roster on court or off. What reason? Something he give me a solid reason he deserves another season?

Bingo. This is a personnel issue and that’s popes fault. He can’t recruit. He never could and that’s on Mitch for hiring him. He also failed to hire a GM to help him. it’s all about recruiting

I’d still like to know what happened before the Louisville game. Pope has lets the convict run the prison all year. Lack of institutional control. He’s a beta by golly.

It’s not just that. You still coach the players you have. These players are not coached. You still compete with the players you have. We do not compete. If you are undermanned you get the players you have in Ironman shape. That’s not happening either. When you are undermanned you over prepare. That’s not happening. There is not one thing Pope does well as a coach. You could give Pope an NBA roster and you would watch a poorly coached team go thru the motions.
