Is a dream a lie if it don’t come true, or is it something worse?

I want to know what our insiders were hearing that gave them so much hope. They said Brad initiated the contact. For him to immediately be out shows it was never serious. What the heck?

I’m glad we can move on from this - we need an elite college coach, imo. Lloyd - May or Otz

At least he didn't string us along. And 10+ years removed from college basketball... There's a universe where he wouldn't work out for various reasons - pull back to NBA, burnout over new CBB landscape, etc. I thought there was a little more risk to hiring him than many were really considering.

Maybe the insiders will do an AMA like Ben has going right now...

"removing himself from consideration" is an interestingly specific way to put it. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Thankfully quick. Better to get that out of the way early and focus on legit options. I personally never believed Stevens was possible anyway. I don't think the insiders were making things up, but sometimes context and nuance don't make it through the telephone game filter.

An NBA GM isn’t going to leave that job to coach in college. It was as delusional as the IU fans thinking he would go there

Roy Williams turned down UNC once only to accept it a few years later.

No offense intended, but that isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison...

No surprise. You have got to make Shuster say no.

Must have been last summer when everyone thought the Celtics were tanking and Tatum was going to miss the year.
