Guessing it all gets pleaded down to misdemeanor…and no assault charges is great to hear. Seems he may have only threatened to hurt himself. (Still not good)

Does this mean the knife threats were fabricated?

Mild for what it could have been if he had a knife. Sounds like that may have been fabricated

At least they didn’t mention a weapon. In a normal case might they plead down the felony charge??

the knife report also included a version that he was threatening to use it on himself. that might not qualify as assault.

Reads like the weapons part was not accurate

Legally speaking, this means he either didn’t have a knife when he entered and that story was bogus, or he got incredibly lucky with the DA given the charges. He may not even serve any time if he’s a first time offender, maybe a year on house arrest and probation.

From HC at the University of Michigan to felony home invasion… in a span of hours. Surreal.

These charges are much less than what was expressed on Twitter. No weapon and no assault.

Assuming no track record as you said likely just probation.

I am not a criminal lawyer but I have to imagine that if he broke into her house to stalk her and wielded a knife, even if he was only threatening himself that would be sufficient for some charge. If you break into someone’s house and pull out a weapon, that’s most likely going to feel like a threat even if you’re only talking about hurting yourself.

Not necessarily. Depends on if how he used it met the definition of a crime.

We dont know. Very possible the knife report was false. Also possible the DA jsut didnt charge it for some reason.

First time offender, no assault - probation, no contact order. Just don't fuck up while the case is pending. Stay away from her.

Have to wonder if he’s granted bond, I assume he has the money to get out

a knife was probably never involved, where did that come from anyway?

This is much less than what I expected. Sound like no weapon and he busted into her house to confront her, not to potentially harm her. How is stalking just a misdemeanor?
