I think his portal announcement today is incredibly soft. “Never in a million years would I have thought I’d enter the portal, things are out of my control…” not sure if that’s the perfect quote but it gets the gist. He’s leaving because he either wants more money or because he knows he is going to have less of a role. Totally fair game if he wants to leave but don’t act like it’s out of your control. He could have choose to stay and keep competing at his current salary. But he chose to leave. It is what is. But weak to try to paint Texas as the bad guy imo.
And now to boot, he’s visiting OU. he’s perfectly within his right to leave, but he can’t claim he loved being a longhorn and is a Lifetime horn who is so upset about leaving if he immediately goes to OU. Just my two cents.

Welcome to the business of college football.
He balled out and was pretty authentic in his good bye. But this is a business and he has to put himself where he thinks he can best continue his football career.
If you don't like it, then maybe you should've ponied up the NIL to keep him.

CoSLonghorn said:I don't think that is the issue. His agent (yes he has one) demanded more money than Texas was willing to pay for a number 3 or 4 receiver. From a business standpoint, it may actually be a good decision. He goes somewhere where he is a number 1 or 2 and maybe it elevates him and puts him in a better position for the NFL.Welcome to the business of college football. Going to ou and watching Mateer throw picks seems like a poor “business decision”.

Arch - takes a pay cut so he can win a Natty. Parker - “I’m a need that bag or I’m going to OU”. Sark - “Boomer”. Parker - “Never thought this would happen”.

If he goes to OU, I hope he gets smoked by McDonald. Going to OU won’t be forgiven. OU sucks forever.

Nothing said on social media is genuine.
This is a universal truth independent of class, race, gender, sexuality, sports team, political party, or nationality. As soon as one comes to this realization, things get easier.

Groundhog Day said:If that's true, the staff seems to have treated the bowl game as a real evaluation opportunity. Guys like Mack and Clark moved up. Seems like Parker moved down due to a couple of drops (one in fairness would have been a hard catch, but did hit him in the hands). I wanted Livingstone to stay because he's the type of guy in the old days who would stay five years and maybe become a really good player by the end. Admittedly it would be tough to root for him if he goes to OU, but if he goes anywhere else, I'll hope he finds success on the field. He was given a number before the citrus bowl that he thought was agreed upon, when it came time to sign the number wasn’t what he thought was agreed upon, He was also told he was going to be fourth man up. he is going to find a spot that will be good for him where he gets tons of playing time and opportunities Him along with tre wisner are guys that will be missed.
