Absolutely right, some think they are fans but in reality are just here to be haters. Nothing UK sports could do to make some people happy

Some are just cynical people who don't deal well in hope but in worst case scenarios. Some would rather go ahead and be disappointed now and get it over with and then be pleasantly surprised if good news happens. Some are just naturally pessimistic by nature and live in that world most of the time. And quite frankly some get kicks off of trolling people with some of them being UK fans and some not. I've also found over the years that negative people tend to post A LOT more than people are are generally positive and believe something good is just around the corner. I try and be realistic and glass half full which means at times I do take the negative route if that facts point in that direction and of course the converse is true too. And as you wrote some just can't control emotions and there is something cathartic about writing down those emotions. Just my long winded opinion.

I've accepted a long time ago he wasn't coming here. At worst, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
