Four-Star QB Trever Jackson sets commitment date

Four-Star quarterback Trever Jackson of Winter Garden (FL) Jones High will announce his commitment on August 26th.
The 6-foot-3, 195 pounder is down to the following: Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and UCLA.
Breaking down the finalists
Jackson broke down what stands out about each of his top schools:
Ole Miss Rebels: Lane Kiffin recruited my older brother when he was the head coach at FAU. Also, he has one of the most explosive offenses in the country that can develop me for the next level.”
Texas A&M Aggies: Jimbo Fisher and Bobby Pitrino are a two headed monster when it comes to developing quarterbacks for the next level. Also, they have a great campus atmosphere and academics besides football.
Oklahoma Sooners: My former teammate, Jayden Gibson, is there and he talks highly about their program and how coach Venables creates men off the field. Also, he teaches his athletes more about things they need to do off of the field. Coach Lebby’s offense is programmed for QBs like me to succeed and thrive.
UCLA Bruins: Chip Kelly’s background in the NFL and high caliber IQ. Also, coach Gunderson’s way of coaching QB’s stood out. Being from Florida, that Cali vibe is something that I can get used to, even though it’s a little far it gives that Florida vibe.
Trever Jackson Recruiting Profile
Jackson ranks as the No. 252 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 16 quarterback and the No. 34 player in the state of Florida.
He currently does not have an On3 NIL Valuation publicly listed. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Scouting Summary
On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about him as a prospect:
“Developmental quarterback prospect with arm talent and upside that stands out in the 2024 cycle. Measured in at a shade under 6-foot-3 and around 185 pounds prior to his senior season. Sports a 10-inch hand. Flashed a very strong arm on the camp circuit in the spring prior to his senior year. Also showed that arm talent as a first-year starter in 2022. Makes high level throws that belie his lack of varsity experience. Hits small window passes under duress. The ball comes out of his hand cleanly and with velocity. Navigates the pocket well, stepping up rather than flushing to either side. Has the functional mobility to elude pass rushers and pick up yards with his legs on scrambles and designed runs. Completed around 59% of his passes for 1,553 yards and 16 touchdowns against seven interceptions as a junior. Will need to grow as a player and increase his production as a senior. Younger for the cycle, with a late August birthday. Younger than many 2026 blue-chip quarterbacks.”
