Following the Future: Gamble, Crumity continue to produce for their teams

The high school football season is nearing its midway point with several members of Georgia Tech’s 2026 class and two 2027 commits in action across the Southeast.
Here is a look at how each of the commits performed in their most recent games in this edition of Following the Future, which will keep up with them throughout their seasons:
2026 Commits
CJ Gamble, LB, Carrollton (Ga.)
Gamble was a big part of Carrollton’s 49-8 region win at Westlake on Friday as the Trojans remained unbeaten in 2025. The senior linebacker had six total tackles (three solo), with two tackles-for-loss, one sack and one pass breakup. Carrollton (7-0, 1-0 region) will be back at home this Friday to host Chapel Hill in another region contest.
Ladarrious “LJ” Crumity, CB, Madison County (Fla.)
Madison County (2-4) suffered a 20-18 loss at home vs. Pace on Friday. Crumity was all over the field once again for Madison County, compiling eight total tackles (seven solo) and two passes defensed on the defensive side and throwing for 99 yards on 6-of-13 passing with two touchdowns and rushing for 60 yards on eight carries offensively. Madison County will be on the road this Friday at Raines.
Traeviss Stevenson, CB, Brooks County (Ga.)
Stevenson was impactful again for Brooks County in its 37-0 region win at Lanier County on Friday, mostly on the offensive side of the ball as he had three catches for 70 yards. Defensively, Stevenson had one pass defensed. Brooks County (3-4, 2-0 region) will return home to host Clinch County this Friday in another region matchup.
Jeffar Jean-Noel, WR, American Heritage (Fla.)
American Heritage earned a 37-0 win at Flanagan on Friday to improve to 3-3 overall. Jean-Noel finished with three catches for 22 yards and two rushes for 14 yards in the victory. American Heritage (3-3, 1-0 district) is back home this Friday to host Norland as they return to district play.
Kentrell Davis, WR, Parker (Ala.)
Davis had one catch for 36 yards and a touchdown in Parker’s 42-6 region win at Jackson-Olin on Friday. Parker (5-2, 3-0 region) will be on the road again this Friday in another region matchup at Minor.
Jack Richerson, TE, Marist (Ga.)
Marist rolled to a 43-0 home win over North Springs in region play on Friday. Richerson finished with three catches for 55 yards with a long of 31 but suffered a lower-body injury in the second quarter and didn’t return to the game. He will be evaluated further this week to determine the severity of the injury. Marist (5-1, 4-0 region) is home again this Friday to host St. Pius X in another region contest.
Courtney Heard, OL, East Coweta (Ga.)
Heard started on the offensive line as East Coweta’s offense finished with 192 total yards (162 passing, 30 rushing) in a 42-17 region loss at Douglas County on Friday. East Coweta (1-5, 0-1 region) will be off this week before visiting Carrollton for another tough region test on Oct. 17.
Courtlin Heard, OL, East Coweta (Ga.)
Heard started on the offensive line as East Coweta’s offense finished with 192 total yards (162 passing, 30 rushing) in a 42-17 region loss at Douglas County on Friday. East Coweta (1-5, 0-1 region) will be off this week before visiting Carrollton for another tough region test on Oct. 17.
Kymani Morales, LB, American Heritage (Fla.)
American Heritage rolled to a 37-0 win at Flanagan on Friday. Morales didn’t record any individual stats in the game. American Heritage (3-3, 1-0) is home this Friday to host Norland in a district matchup.
Alex Willis, Edge/DE, The First Academy (Fla.)
The First Academy suffered a 37-0 loss at St. Frances Academy on Friday to see its four-game win streak come to an end. No individual stats for Willis were available after the game. The First Academy (4-3) is off this week and will host The St. James Performance Academy (Va.) on Oct. 17.
Jonathan Genty, P, Blessed Trinity (Ga.)
Blessed Trinity lost a tight one, 3-0, at home against region foe Kell on Friday. No individual stats were available for Genty. Blessed Trinity (4-3, 0-1 region) is off this week before visiting Westminster on Oct. 17 in another region matchup.
JJ Winston, WR, Rome (Ga.)
Winston had another strong outing in Rome’s 49-7 home win over region foe Villa Rica on Friday as he finished with four catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. Rome (4-2, 3-0 region) will look to extend its winning streak to five on Friday when it visits Lithia Springs in region play.
Darnell Collins, WR/S, Rome (Ga.)
Collins racked up four catches for 54 yards and a touchdown in Rome’s 49-7 home win in region play over Villa Rica on Friday. Rome (4-2, 3-0 region) is on the road this Friday at Lithia Springs in another region matchup.
Nathan Agyemang, TE, Kell (Ga.)
Kell (5-2, 1-0 region) started out its region schedule with a gritty 3-0 win at Blessed Trinity Friday. Agyemang didn’t record any offensive stats but did have two assisted tackles on defense. Kell returns home this Friday to battle region foe Westminster.
Isaac Obrokta, WR, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Ga.)
Rabun Gap fell 59-49 at home against Christian Brothers (Mo.) on Friday in a shootout. Obrokta had two catches for 20 yards in the loss. Rabun Gap (2-4) will host Charlotte Christian this Friday as they look to bounce back.
Jaedyn Terry, CB, Manchester (Ga.)
Manchester suffered a 49-13 home loss in region play to Bowdon on Friday. No individual stats for Terry were available. Manchester (2-5, 0-2 region) is next scheduled to host Mt. Zion on Oct. 24.
Amier Clarke, DL, Osceola (Fla.)
Clarke and Osceola (4-2, 1-0 district) was off this past week but will be back on its home field this Friday to host Viera in another district contest.
Freddie Wilson, DL, Spruce Creek (Fla.)
Wilson and Spruce Creek (5-1, 0-1) were off this past week but will host University on Friday in a district contest.
2027 commits
Jordan Christie, WR, Southwest DeKalb
Southwest DeKalb earned a 31-14 region win at previously-unbeaten Lithonia on Thursday as Christie finished with five catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. He also fielded several punts and recovered a muffed punt on special teams. Southwest DeKalb (5-2, 4-1 region) will host Tucker this Friday for another region contest.
Keyon Standifer, Athlete/WR, Athens Academy
Standifer finished with two catches for 48 yards and a touchdown along with one carry for five yards in Athens Academy’s 49-0 home region win over Banks County on Friday. Athens Academy (6-1, 3-0 region) will be on the road this Friday at Providence Christian Academy for another region test.
