Jalyn Crawford, 4-star Georgia CB, signs Letter of Intent with Auburn
Four-star corner Jalyn Crawford of Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview signed his National Letter of Intent with Auburn on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.

Notable: Crawford’s recruitment was a fun back-and-forth one. At one time, LSU was the leader and even garnered an expert prediction. Auburn then joined the mix along with Florida. Before his commitment, Florida was trending some. Auburn made it happen and Crawford started a chain reaction of summer commitments for the Tigers. He’s been all-in since.
Quoteworthy: “It’s clear that he wants me and has shown he can win as a head coach. I see Coach Freeze taking Auburn back to the top because I know about his history. I’ve seen him at practice and I like his plan for the Auburn program once he gets his recruits on campus.”
Breakdown
— Crawford has a quick trigger. Part of that comes from athleticism, but the other part comes from quick thinking. He breaks on the ball as quickly as any corner in the 2024 class. He understands when routes will break and when to make his move.
— Crawford is an advanced tackler for someone who is too small to be a box linebacker. This does not mean he cannot have an impact in the box. He plays more down hill than many linebackers.
— Crawford is physical enough, even at 180 pounds, to play near the box and help in run support. He can have a similar impact as current Auburn nickel Keionte Scott: good in coverage, good in run support, good in the field.
SEC readiness
Crawford has SEC defensive back written all over him. It is no coincidence that he had three of the best SEC programs in defensive back output as his final three. Physicality, speed, football IQ, and raw athleticism: Crawford has the tools needed to be successful in the SEC and on the next level.
