Just days after officially visiting Auburn, Isaiah Jatta, the No. 1 junior college offensive tackle in the country, has de-committed from South Carolina.

And … he is trending big to Auburn.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Tigers now have a 97.3% projection rate to land Jatta, a standout at Utah’s Snow College. Jeffrey Lee and Keith Niebuhr of Auburn Live have each entered predictions for Auburn to sign Jatta.

Jatta announced his decision to back off of his Gamecocks pledge and reopen his recruitment.

“First and foremost I thank the University of South Carolina for giving me an opportunity to chase my football and educational dreams. I would like to personally thank coach Teasley for always believing in me throughout my recruitment process. I will always be thankful for his presence in my life,” he wrote. “After much thought and prayer, I have decided in my best interest to recommit from the University of South Carolina. Respect my decision. With peace and gratitude.”

After officially visiting Auburn over the weekend, Jetta said the Tigers “most definitely” have a chance.

“It went pretty good,” Jatta told Auburn Live’s Lee. “I enjoyed myself out here, for sure. Just the family atmosphere, for real. Coach Hugh Freeze did a really good job and made sure me and my family enjoyed ourselves.”

Per Lee, Jatta spent time during the visit meeting with first-year offensive line coach Jake Thornton.

“He’s the real deal, no cap,” Jatta said. “I got the feel for him and he had some o-line talk of seeing his vision and what his plans are at Auburn. I feel really good about what he has going on.”

Jatta is close with Auburn cornerback Keionte Scott, his former teammate at Snow.

“He was my player host,” Jatta said after his Auburn visit. “I spent a lot of time with him. He was telling me that I could come in and have an immediate impact on the offensive line. Coach Thornton told me that I’m still going to have to work for it, but there will be an open opportunity. That is very important to me.”

Worth noting, Jatta is officially visiting BYU this week.
