With two commitments already in July, Auburn doubled its total for the 2023 class in four days.

Can the Tigers keep things going in the right direction? And might another 4-star be added to the class soon?

Keldric Faulk, a 4-star edge/defensive end from Highland Home (Ala., will announce his college choice at 11 a.m. CT Tuesday. He has a final four of Auburn, Clemson, Florida and Florida State.

All four programs hosted him on official visits in June. Auburn had him on campus June 10-12.

Faulk, listed at 6-foot-6 and 243 pounds, is the No. 63 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus rankings for the class of 2023. He checks in as the No. 9 recruit in the state of Alabama and is the No. 10 edge in the country.

Should he pick Auburn, Faulk would be the highest-ranked member of the Tigers’ commit list.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine favors Florida State at the moment. The Seminoles have an 89.7% chance of landing Faulk according to RPM.

Auburn has a strong bond with Keldric Faulk

In interviews this summer, Faulk has spoken highly of the Auburn staff, including first-year defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh, his lead recruiter. Edge coach Roc Bellantoni and secondary coach Zac Etheridge also have been heavily involved.

“I just built that good relationship with Coach Jimmy Brumbaugh and Coach Roc (Bellantoni)” Faulk told Auburn Live’s Cole Pinkston last week. “I didn’t even really know Coach Roc worked at the school until this year. Coach Jimmy coming in the place of Coach (Nick) Eason, that was pretty hard to build that relationship that fast because of the quick staff change, but I’m glad I did,” Faulk said. “He’s real good people and showed me a really good time when I got there.”

After his official visit to Auburn in June, Faulk said he probably would return to Auburn for Big Cat Weekend in late July. It’s unclear if he would still make that visit if he chooses another school.

In any event, he seemed to enjoy his official with the Tigers.

“It was great. I had a really great time, which I expected to,” he said. “I liked sitting in the offense, knowing the scheme, what I would play and how I would fit in.”

On that visit, Faulk spent lots of time with Bellantoni. The two developed a strong bond throughout Faulk’s recruitment.

“He’s a real great guy,” Faulk said. “He’s one of my favorite coaches.”

And finally … our pick

In recent days, intel on this recruitment came from every direction. Some of it lined up. Some of it didn’t. But the one constant, the one school everyone seemed to agree was right there at the top, was Florida State. While he has done a great job keeping things close to the vest, that school clearly has the most chatter in the 11th hour.

Right now, the arrow seems to be pointing toward Tallahassee, Fla.

That said, given that Faulk is keeping most in the dark — including the schools in the hunt — a pick of anyone from his final four wouldn’t be a complete surprise.
