Tuesday was a big day for Auburn football recruiting as the Tigers flipped 3-star center Connor Lew from Miami. Auburn now has 13 verbals and the No. 30 class ranking, up eight spots from Sunday morning. Who could be next to commit to Hugh Freeze’s program?

Here are some candidates …

Stephen Johnson, DL, Fayetteville (Ga.) Whitewater: Auburn on Tuesday offered Johnson, who is committed to Arkansas. A flip could be forthcoming. Johnson spoke with Hugh Freeze and could elect to switch his commitment from the Razorbacks and stay closer to home.

Isaiah Jatta, OL, Snow College (Utah): Auburn is a major factor for the No 1 junior college offensive tackle in the country and last weekend’s official visit has given the Tigers a boost. In fact, the writing seems to be on the wall that Auburn will land him. Jatta de-committed from South Carolina on Tuesday and the Tigers have surged to a huge lead for him in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Auburn’s depth chart has his attention. Becoming a Year 1 starter probably seems like a sure thing to him right now. Also, he’s close with Tigers defensive back Keionte Scott, his former teammate. Auburn is trending big.

Tyler Scott, CB/S, Mableton (Ga.) Pebblebrook: Scott might not announce until the All-American Bowl, which is Jan. 7, but right now the Tigers arguably are the favorite. Southern California, Alabama and Texas are the other programs to watch. He’s taking an official visit to Austin this weekend. Proximity to home, playing time and relationships seem to be helping the Tigers. He’s particularly close with Auburn secondary coach Zac Etheridge, who got in on him early. Freeze is going in-home with Scott this week. Auburn is in a good spot, but is not across the finish line yet.

Rivaldo Fairweather, TE, Florida International (transfer): The transfer tight end will be in Auburn this weekend on an official visit and already has Auburn as his top school. He has said he plans to wait before announcing a decision, but that could change during or shortly after his visit. We believe Fairweather ends up at Auburn. It’s more of a question of when than if.

Braeden Marshall, DB, Lake Mary, Fla.: The three-star defensive back is committed to Gus Malzahn and UCF, but Auburn and Wesley McGriff are making a big move. The Tigers offered Marshall late last week and he called Auburn his “dream school.” He’ll be on campus this weekend for an official visit and, like Fairweather, we expect Marshall to end up in the Tigers’ class.

Eric Singleton Jr., WR, Douglasville (Ga.) Alexander: The Western Kentucky commitment has moved up Auburn’s wide receivers board and appears to be a take. Auburn QB analyst Kent Austin has visited Singleton twice, once each of the past two weeks. Singleton likely will visit AU this weekend and a flip of his commitment seems imminent.
