The Florida State football team picked up its 15th transfer portal commitment of this cycle on Wednesday night, as former Harvard offensive lineman Jacob Rizy announced he will be joining the Seminoles.

Rizy’s commitment comes following a visit to Florida State this past weekend. He is the Seminoles’ third OL transfer of this offseason.

The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder started every game this past season at left tackle for the Crimson, but he is expected to compete for playing time in the interior of FSU’s offensive line.

Rizy comes to Florida State after earning first-team All-Ivy League honors this past season; he made the All-Ivy second team in 2022.

With Rizy leading the way up front, Harvard had the Ivy League’s No. 1 offense this past season. The Crimson also led the league in rushing offense at nearly 200 yards per game, and their backs averaged 4.9 yards per carry.

Rizy will not join the Seminoles for spring practice as he graduates from Harvard in May. He will join the team following his graduation and have two years of eligibility remaining.

He is the latest offensive line transfer to commit to Florida State in this cycle, joining former Florida Gator Richie Leonard and former Alabama Crimson Tide Terrence Ferguson.
