Transfer Portal Nuggets: Florida State activity heating up this week
During their four years under head coach Mike Norvell, the Florida State Seminoles have been one of the most active and successful programs in the country when it comes to attacking the transfer portal.
And after a relatively quiet first few weeks, things are definitely about to heat up.
Florida State landed quarterback transfer DJ Uiagalelei on Monday, and the Seminoles are about host several top targets in the coming days, as the NCAA begins allowing visits again on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
One of the first ones on the Florida State campus will be Purdue defensive end Nic Scourton, who led the Big Ten with 10 sacks this past season. And in his latest Portal Nuggets, our Michael Langston shares why FSU could have the inside track on the elite pass-rusher.

- An SEC running back who is committed to another school but could be visiting FSU this week
- Two-time all-conference OL Pearson Toomey, who originally hails from Jacksonville and has entered the portal from Furman

- A Southeastern Conference safety who could be visiting Florida State on Wednesday
