Florida State lands Alabama DB transfer Earl Little Jr.
The second time was the charm — again — for the Florida State football staff.
Just a few weeks after the Seminoles landed highly touted defensive end transfer Marvin Jones Jr. from the University of Georgia, they did it again on Saturday with Alabama defensive back transfer Earl Little Jr.
Jones and Little were both top-rated high school prospects at state power American Heritage in the class of 2022, and they both strongly considered Florida State before signing with Southeastern Conference powers.
Now, they will be teammates again with the Seminoles. And they will be reunited with their former American Heritage head coach Patrick Surtain Sr., who is FSU’s defensive backs coach.
Coming out of high school, Little was a top-100 player nationally as well as the No. 12 cornerback in the country and No. 12 prospect in the state of Florida.
A redshirt freshman, Little played primarily on special teams this season for the Crimson Tide. He recorded two tackles on the year.
Little is the fourth transfer to commit to Florida State this cycle, joining former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, former LSU receiver Jalen Brown and Jones Jr.
