The Florida State football team landed a commitment from 2023 defensive back Ja’Bril Rawls on Monday afternoon.

Rawls announced the decision on his social media.

A Pensacola Catholic product, Rawls selected FSU over Troy, Southern Miss, among others.

With Rawls in the fold, FSU now has 11 total commitments within the 2023 class. Rawls is the first defensive back to commit to the Seminoles. The talented product from the Panhandle visited FSU yet again for Seminole Showcase weekend and once again had a solid performance. Rawls had FSU as the leader coming into the visit and felt like it was time to end it this week.

I visited them like four times before I got the offer. My relationship with Coach Woodson is great. He kept it real from the start and every time I visited there to Florida State I felt right at home. They plan on using me at corner or safety.

Rawls joins four-star defensive end Keldric Faulk, four-star offensive lineman Lucas Simmons and nine more commits in the class.
