Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is making his rounds during Georgia’s junior day of visits on Saturday.

The Bulldogs’ head coach is on campus with a star-studded group of prospects in the class of 2025. The group had a gathering in Butts-Mehr Heritage-Hall Complex before heading over to Stegman Coliseum to watch Georgia’s basketball team host No. 5 Tennessee on Saturday.

Smart has surfaced online posing for photos with five-star tight end commit Elyiss Williams and tight end coach Todd Hartley. The photo surfaced on the five-star’s Instagram story about halfway through the basketball game on Saturday.

Williams committed to the Bulldogs back on April 8, 2023. Williams is the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Rankings in the class of 2025.

Georgia will be in a battle to hold onto Williams throughout the rest of the cycle. Florida State and Tennessee have not stopped pursuing the 6-foot-7, 235-pound tight end.

Williams affirmed his commitment to the Bulldogs during the fall.

“I’m still committed,” Williams said back on Nov. 19.

The Bulldogs’ ability to develop the tight end position has been key for Williams.

“I’m still looking at Georgia,” Williams said. “I love how they use the tight ends and the relationships that I’ve built there. The people are just great there. They’re dominating this year. I feel like they’re going to continue to dominate and go on to three-peat this year…I feel like how they execute weekly, how disciplined they are and how they want to work and the relationships, there are good people there (keeps me committed).”

High School Scouting Report

Rare combination of athleticism and size for the tight end position. Stands in at nearly 6-foot-7 with crazy bounce and ability to play above the rim which stems from his dominance on the hardwood. Smooth mover in space that can win vertically up the seam with his top-end speed. Has the fluidity and looseness in his hips in order to win in intermediate routes as well. Physical and more than willing blocker at the line of scrimmage. Plays with tenacity and ferocity at the point of attack. Comfortable pass catcher but will need to get stronger catching the ball away from his frame more consistently. Has all the physical and athletic tools that offensive coaches covet at the position. Extremely high upside prospect.
