LISTEN: KSR's Interview with Liam Coen

KSR interviewed new UK offensive coordinator Liam Coen soon after he was hired back in December, and today felt like a good time to give him another call to catch up on old times. Four months had passed since we last spoke and we felt we needed to touch base now that he is done with spring ball and all unpacked at his new Lexington home.
Coen took the call, which was kind of him to do, and had a great conversation with Matt Jones about his new life in Kentucky and what the transition has been like coming from Los Angeles and the NFL. It turns out many of you have spotted him in public and offered words of welcome and encouragement, and a growing social media following caught him by surprise. “It’s a sports city and everybody loves UK,” Coen said.

Spring practice also came up in the discussion, obviously, with the hottest topic being the quarterback situation. Coen broke down what he thought of UK’s current situation at the position, but said under KSR oath that there is no leader or depth chart at this stage, whatsoever.
