The Impact: 5-star RB Harlem Berry at LSU

With the commitment of Five Star Plus+ quarterback Bryce Underwood, LSU now has the No. 1 prospect committed at quarterback, running back and wide receiver in the Class of 2025.

Underwood joins Five Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore and five-star running back Harlem Berry as the five-stars in the class.

Underwood, who committed on Saturday, had Alabama, Colorado, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State as his finalists before picking the Tigers. Per the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, the product of Belleville (MI.) High School is the No. 1 overall recruit in the country.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Berry is the No. 11 overall prospect in the nation, No. 1 running back in the country and No. 1 prospect in Louisiana. Berry picked LSU on Wednesday over programs like Florida, Texas, Texas A&M and others.

Moore is the No. 1 wide receiver in the country on On3 and the On3 Industry Ranking. He is the third-best prospect in America and the top-ranked prospect in Texas, according to On3. Moore pledged to the Tigers before his junior season. He went on to lead Duncanville (Tex.) to another state championship this season.

This trio is joined by other elite prospects in the 2025 LSU recruiting class, which is now the No. 1 class in America.

It’s headlined by Berry, Moore and now Underwood.

LSU’s class also has four-star prospects Keylan Moses, JD LaFleur, Brett Bordelon and TaRon Francis along with Peach State three-star defensive back Jaylen Bell.

If Brian Kelly & Co. can sign the trio along with prospects they’re already trending for in 2025, it’ll be a historic finish for the Tigers come the end of the recruiting cycle.

Today, it’s a celebration for LSU as the historic trio is now committed to the Tigers. The work’s not done, but Kelly’s staff has a chance to make history with this bunch.
