LSU is hosting Georgia four-star cornerback Jalyn Crawford for an overnight stay.

Crawford, the No. 14 cornerback prospect on the On3 Industry Rankings, will be in Baton Rouge on Friday and Saturday.

Crawford, who visited LSU three times in 2022, has been high on the Tigers since Brian Kelly and the staff arrived a year ago.

LSU leads the way on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (83%), and the Tigers will certainly lock up one of his five official visits. Crawford told On3’s Chad Simmons that he hopes to have a college decision made between the beginning and middle of his senior season.

Beyond a trip to Baton Rouge, Crawford said he plans to visit Clemson, Miami and South Carolina this spring. Auburn is also expected to get a return visit.

“LSU, Auburn and Clemson are up there,” Crawford told On3. “I like those three schools a lot. All three schools show me a lot of love and they make feel wanted. The coaches know me and that makes them stand out.”

The 6-foot-0, 180-pound defensive back has visited LSU four times, while he’s tripped to Auburn three times and Clemson twice.

The goal of the offseason visits? Find the best fit for his next football stop.

“Really somewhere where I could fit in,” Crawford said. “I want to play my first year, but if I’m rotating in, I’ll be straight with that. Really, a player-coach relationship where I can walk into a building or walk into one of the buildings that I’ll be potentially in and everybody’s just talking to me, dapping me up, saying, ‘How are you doing? How was your day? How have you been?’”

Crawford, the No. 122 overall prospect and No. 14 cornerback in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking, said the ability by Kelly and the staff to win the SEC West in Year 1 spoke volumes.

“I really like what (Brian Kelly) did in his first year,” he said. “They didn’t get off to a great start, but they bounced back, played hard and had a very successful year. I think BK is building something there. The whole defensive staff is really recruiting me at LSU, but I talk the most to coach Robert Steeples. He and the guys around him all show me a lot of love.”
