The LSU football staff has two more busy weekends of official visitors ahead, and Friday to Sunday will bring a number of top targets to campus.

LSU will also host the program’s final two camps of the summer, which will include a Friday Night Lights on Friday, June 16, followed by the final Elite Camp and OL/DL Camp on Saturday, June 17.

A number of unofficial visitors will be on campus, including five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, who is ranked by On3 as the No. 1 prospect in the 2025 class.

As for the official visit weekend, here are the recruits expected to be in town.

LSU Commitments

Ondre Evans – CPA (Nashville, Tenn.) – 4-star CB

The most recent commitment into LSU’s 2024 class is Evans, who went public with his decision on Thursday. After grabbing offers from LSU, Georgia and Alabama in June, the Nashville cornerback shut things down and got on board with the Tigers. Now, he’s wiped his official visit slate clean. The lone team left standing: LSU. Evans will be on campus this weekend to follow up his Thursday announcement. He’s ranked by On3 as a Top 100 prospect and the No. 1 recruit in Tennessee.

Joseph Stone – Langston Hughes (Fairburn, Ga.) – 4-star WR

Stone has been committed to LSU since July 2022, but there were questions as to how strong his verbal pledge was. Stone had already made official visits to UCF and Louisville this month, and he was scheduled to make an official visit to Texas this weekend. Instead, Stone told The Bengal Tiger staff that he has shut things down and will no longer make official visits to other schools. Instead, he will travel to Baton Rouge this weekend for his LSU official visit.

Top targets in Baton Rouge on official visits

CJ Jackson – Tucker (Tucker, Ga.) – 4-star EDGE

The On3 Top 100 prospect out of Georgia landed in my Mock 1.0 and Mock 2.0 LSU Class Predictions, and for good reason. The Tigers have done a great job recruiting the Georgia four-star, a push led by outside linebackers coach John Jancek and defensive coordinator Matt House. Georgia gets Jackson in town next weekend for an official visit, but the buzz behind the scenes is LSU is the current team to beat. This weekend’s visit with Jackson and his family could go a long way towards the Tigers gaining even more ground with the No. 7 edge rusher on the On3 rankings.

Jalyn Crawford – Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) – 4-star CB

One year ago, Crawford visited LSU and left campus high on the Tigers – so much so that there was buzz growing that he might be a silent commitment. Since then, Crawford has taken a methodical approach to his recruitment, and June has been stacked up with official visits. Official visits to Florida and Auburn took place over the past two weekends, and now Crawford returns to LSU for his official visit in Baton Rouge. Crawford will follow up his LSU trip with a North Carolina official visit from June 23-25, then reveal his college choice in July.

Ory Williams – San Marcos (Buda, Texas) – 3-star OT

The three-star offensive tackle out of Texas has landed some big college offers, but it’s been LSU, Florida and Texas A&M that have risen to the top of the list of priority visits this month. Texas leads the way on the On3 RPM, but there’s a high chance he doesn’t wind up in Austin for college – at least at this stage. LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis has been recruiting Williams heavily for the Tigers, and with official visits to Oklahoma State, Florida and Texas A&M already in the books, LSU has a chance to make the final splash this weekend. There’s a chance he makes an official visit to Georgia next weekend, but he’s maintained a decision likely won’t come until the fall.

Connor Gilbreath – Butte College (Oroville, Cali.) – JUCO TE/OT

Gilbreath might be one of the most intriguing visitors of the weekend, in large part because he could be a potential addition to the 2023 roster. That means he would be able to suit up and play for the Tigers this fall. Gilbreath is being recruited by LSU offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Mike Denbrock, who is pitching the 6-foot-6, 270-pound JUCO prospect on starting out as a blocking tight end (a big need for LSU this year) before transitioning to an offensive tackle. Gilbreath has made visits to Missouri and Arizona, and he’s now set to see LSU this weekend. Visits to Mississippi State and North Carolina State will follow, then he will make a college choice before enrolling in a four-year school for fall camp. LSU has a chance to win out here as the lead team entering the midway point of official visits.
