LSU hosted the program’s second OL/DL Camp session of the summer as part of the LSU Elite Camp on Wednesday, June 7 in Baton Rouge.

One week ago, the Tigers offered five prospects following the first OL/DL Camp of the summer.

LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis handed out verbal scholarships to 2024 Alabama offensive lineman William Sanders, 2025 Texas offensive lineman Jayden Beckley, 2025 Utah offensive lineman Darius Afalava and 2026 Louisiana offensive lineman Jalan Chapman.

On the defensive side, new defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey extended an offer to 2026 Mississippi defensive end JaReylan McCoy. McCoy’s first college offer came from Lindsey when he was on staff at South Carolina.

Here’s a look at the top names in attendance at LSU’s second OL/DL Camp, a group headlined by a Baton Rouge product.

The Camp MVP

Lamar Brown – University High (Baton Rouge, La.) – The U-High freshman already has the full attention of the LSU coaches, and he got an offer long before June’s OL/DL Camp. This week, he proved the offer was one he was ready for. Brown worked primarily on the defensive line, and despite just finishing his freshman season, he looked like the most promising player of the bunch. At 6-foot-3, 255 pounds, Brown tested well, looked sharp in position drills and won plenty of one-on-one matchups. Expect the Baton Rouge area prospect to be one of the nation’s best by the time his senior season arrives.

Offensive Line

Jackson Jones – Pine High (Franklinton, La.) – The 2025 Louisiana prospect picked up an Ole Miss offer a year ago, and he’s nabbed in-state offers from Tulane and Louisiana Tech this offseason. At 6-foot-6, 300 pounds, Jones jumped out among the offensive line group.

Graham Uter – Bayside Academy (Daphne, Ala.) – The 2024 prospect out of Alabama has six college offers, and SMU leads the way with an official visit on deck. He joined Jones as one of the top performing offensive lineman at LSU’s second OL/DL camp session.

Donovan Jones – Captain Shreve (Shreveport, La.) – Here’s one to file away for the future. North Louisiana has turned out a number of college prospects in recent years, and the Shreveport area has been a big part of that. Jones, who just finished his freshman season, is already 6-foot-3, 300 pounds. He’s raw, but colleges will have an eye on him.

Ashton Helaire – St. Thomas More (Lafayette, La.) – Helaire has size at 6-foot-3, 340 pounds, and he’s on a talented St. Thomas More team. Eight college offers are in, with Georgia Tech holding the lead on the On3 RPM for the 2024 prospect.

Defensive Line

Kevin Oatis Jr. – Hattiesburg High (Hattiesburg, Miss.) – The 2025 defensive lineman has nearly 20 college offers coming off his sophomore season. LSU offered in May, and not only are the in-state schools like Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss in the mix, but college scholarships are also in from the likes of Alabama and Georgia. Oatis is ranked as a Top 10 defensive lineman on the On3 Industry Rankings.

Jayden Scott – Archbishop Shaw (Marrero, La.) – The rising senior out of Shaw is starting to catch the attention of college coaches, and he’s now reeled in offers from Tulane, Southern Miss, Louisiana, Texas Tech and Louisville. At 6-foot-3, 240 pounds, Scott could start to grab additional offers as he works through the summer camp circuit and his senior season this fall.

Dereon Albert – Jackson Academy (Jackson, Miss.) – The 2026 defensive lineman out of Mississippi has early offers from Liberty and Kent State. At 6-foot-1, 300 pounds, Albert is an interior lineman at the college level as he gears up for his sophomore season this fall.

Miles Adams – Flomaton (Flomaton, Ala.) – Another 2024 prospect who is beginning to add to his offer list is Adams, who worked with the top group of defensive linemen during LSU’s camp. Offers are in from Troy, Southern Miss, UAB, Texas Tech and USF.
