ESPN was on site today for Oregon’s Pro Day. From the Pro Day, coverage of quarterback Bo Nix was highly discussed and even televised on ESPN.

Nix finds himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the upcoming NFL draft. Which figures to be a top-heavy quarterback class.

ESPN’s Field Yates was on site and spent a few minutes on the Pat McAfee show talking about Nix and the Pro Day. This was the first time Yates has ever been to Eugene and he offered some glowing impressions about Oregon and quarterback Bo Nix ahead of this draft.

“This is the first one amongst the six quarterbacks that are regarded as the top six in the draft. Bo’s the first one, the next one is Caleb Williams on March 20. The vibes have been incredible. Pat you know this from being out here last year.”

Yates went on to talk about his impressions of Oregon and the talks from coaches and personnel about Nix in Eugene.

“This place is unreal. I’ve never been to Eugene, Oregon before and this place is special. The facilities are unbelievable. I walked into the indoor facility where they were doing the workout right now, and I thought to myself this is the nicest facility I’ve ever seen for any college. I was told within about 5 minutes this going to be the old building, they are building a brand new one soon.”

“But everybody here is absolutely 100-percent, they’re speaking reverentially about Bo Nix. it’s so clear how much of an impact he’s had on this program in just two years. It’s clear he’s had a ton of impact on the field but it sounds like from everything I’ve heard, Bo’s kind of changed everything about Oregon football in terms of the culture and the leadership. Everything he’s brought to the table.”

Nix has been widely projected to be a first rounder in the upcoming draft. His potential landing spot could be anywhere from the top ten to late in the first round.

In his two seasons at Oregon, Nix threw for 8,101 yards and 74 touchdowns. Last year Nix was a Heisman finalist.
