QUACK: Oregon Lands Four-Star Defensive Lineman
It’s Double Quack day for Oregon fans. Earlier the Ducks landed a commitment from four-star quarterback Michael Van Buren. Now they score one on the defensive side of the ball.
Durant (Okla.) defensive lineman Xadavien Sims committed to Oregon moments ago. The Ducks were able to beat out Michigan State, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and others.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder is one of the top defensive tackles in the country. Sims checks in as the No. 200 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 22 defensive tackle in those same rankings.
Oregon now has 13 verbal commits in the 2024 recruiting class. The Ducks have a commanding lead as the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the Pac-12 conference.
