Purdue RB Dylan Downing has entered the portal

Purdue RB Dylan Downing has entered the transfer portal as a grad transfer. He will have two years of eligibility.
The Carmel, Ind., native began his career at UNLV in 2020 before transferring to Purdue as a walk-on, where he played the last three seasons. He was put on scholarship prior to 2023.
Downing ran for 740 yards (4.0 ypc) and six TDs on 185 carries with the Boilermakers. He also caught 27 passes for 193 yards. Downing made five career starts.

Downing was Purdue’s No. 3 running back in 2023, running for 211 yards and a TD and catching five passes.
The 6-0, 225-pound Downing’s best season was 2022, when he ran for 351 yards on 93 carries with four TDs and caught 12 passes for 100 yards with four starts. Downing had a career-high 113 rushing yards on 15 carries, with a career-long 30-yard run, in a win over FAU.
