Decision day has arrived for South Carolina football target and Palmetto (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney three-star wide receiver Zy’marion Lang.

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound class of 2024 prospect will announce his decision at some point today with the Gamecocks, Pitt, USF, and Kansas State listed as his four finalists.

Lang is the No. 568 overall player in the Class of 2024, per the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 92 WR and No. 77 player from Florida in the cycle.

On3 lists Lang as the No. 92 receiver in his class.

South Carolina has previously approached Lang as a WR and a defensive back but he is slated to start his Carolina career as a receiver, if he selects the Gamecocks, even though defensive backs coach Torrian Gray has been highly involved in his recruitment.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) gives South Carolina a 95.7 percent chance to land Lang with Pitt checking in next with just a 2.2 percent chance.

Lang did take an official visit to Pitt but has taken multiple unofficial trips to Columbia.

South Carolina’s 2024 class currently ranks 20th nationally as the Gamecocks have 13 commits, with eight of those considered four-star prospects.

Lang spent last season at Palmetto High but will play for Cardinal Mooney this year. Lang snatched 28 passes for 470 yards and five touchdowns this past season.
