According to Garland Gillen of WVUE in New Orleans, Texas quarterbacks Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning will be on the campus of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La. for the 2024 Manning Passing Academy. The clinic, put on by Archie, Cooper, Peyton, and Eli Manning, is described as “a family-owned and managed football camp that embraces the basic fundamentals of football while catering to the offensive skill positions of RB, TE, WR, and of course QB.”

Texas is the only Southeastern Conference school with two quarterbacks in attendance. Arch Manning, the son of Cooper and grandson of Archie, is attending his family’s event yet again. For Ewers, this is the second straight year where he will be a counselor. Other SEC schools with quarterbacks heading to Thibodaux according to Gillen include Georgia with Carson Beck, Missouri with Brady Cook, Alabama with Jalen Milroe, Ole Miss with Jaxson Dart, Florida with Graham Mertz, LSU with Garrett Nussmeier, and Mississippi State with Blake Shapen.

Ewers, a junior who transferred to Texas from Ohio State, is entering his third season as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback. He started in 12 of Texas’ 14 games in 2023 and helped the Longhorns win the Big 12 Championship and advanced to the last scheduled College Football Playoff. He was named the most outstanding player in the Big 12 Championship as part of a season where he was an honorable mention according to the Big 12’s coaches. He was 272-for-394 for 3479 yards and 22 touchdowns over six interceptions. He also added five rushing touchdowns.
