Texas Longhorns commits schedules for Week 4

The fourth week of the high school season for Texas Longhorns commits in the 2024 and 2025 classes begins Thursday.

After a bye week, Duncanville High (2-0) returns to the field Friday night against an 0-3 Mansfield Lake Ridge squad. Colin Simmons and Alex January have combined for 17 tackles in the Panthers’ first two games of the season.

Week 3 Player of the Week

Melvin Hills, DL, Lafayette (La.) Lafayette Christian Academy #AllGasNoBrakes
Lafayette Christian Academy (2-0) beat Woodlawn High 49-14 last week. Texas commit Melvin Hills recorded eight tackles and two sacks in the victory. This week, LCA plays host to New Orleans Jesuit High on Friday, September 15 at 7 p.m. central.

Thursday Night Games

D’antre Robinson, DL, Orlando (Fla.) Jones #AllGasNoBrakes
The On3 4-star defensive tackle and his Jones High (1-2) teammates will take on Edgewater (3-0) on Thursday, September 14 at 7 p.m. eastern.

Michael Kern, P, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas #AllGasNoBrakes
St. Thomas Aquinas (2-1) will play host to Western High (1-1) on Thursday, September 14. STA beat Cocoa High 37-36 last week. Kern has nine punts for a 39.9 yards average with five downed inside the 20-yard line. He has six kick offs, all for touchbacks.

Santana Wilson, CB/N, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain #AllGasNoBrakes
Desert Mountain High (3-0) takes on Cactus High (2-1) Thursday, September 14. The Wolves beat Chaparral High 24-21 last week.

Friday Night Games

Jerrick Gibson and Jordon Johnson-Rubell, IMG Academy #AllGasNoBrakes
IMG Academy (3-0) plays a first home game of this season on Friday, September 15 against Cleveland’s Glenville High. The Ascenders beat Ben Davis out of Indianapolis 34-14 last week. Jerrick Gibson has rushed for 289 yards and two TDs on 53 carries in the three nationally ranked contests. Jordan Johnson-Rubell has 16 tackles through three games.

K.J. Lacey, QB, Saraland (Ala.) High – 2025 #AllGasNoBrakes
Saraland High (3-0) takes on a solid Spanish Fort High (2-1) squad on Friday, September 15 at 7 p.m. central. Lacey is 36 of 58 for 576 yards and 5 touchdowns (2 INT’s) in three games.

Freddie Dubose Jr., WR, Schertz (Texas) Smithson Valley #AllGasNoBrakes
Smithson Valley (2-1) plays host to Wagner High (2-1) on Friday, September 15 at 7 p.m. central. The Rangers beat East Central 57-7 last week.

Colin Simmons and Alex January, Duncanville (Texas) #AllGasNoBrakes
Duncanville High (2-0) had a bye last week. This week, the Panthers travel to Mansfield to take on Lake Ridge (0-3). Simmons has eight tackles and six quarterback hurries in two games. January has nine tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack through two games.

Aeryn Hampton, WR/ATH, Daingerfield (Texas) High #AllGasNoBrakes
Dangerfield High (2-1) makes the trip southeast Friday, September 15 to take on Center High (2-1). Daingerfield High lost to Timpson High 33-26 last week.

Parker Livingstone, WR, Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy #AllGasNoBrakes
Lovejoy High (2-1) heads east on Friday, September 15 to take on Terrell High (3-0). Texas commit Parker Livingstone remains sidelined with a lower leg injury. His status for the remainer of the season is in question.

Christian Clark, RB, Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe #AllGasNoBrakes
Mountain Pointe (2-1) takes on Central High (3-0) on Friday, September 15 at 7 p.m. mountain time. Clark remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Bye Week

Daniel Cruz, IOL, North Richland Hills (Texas) Richland #AllGasNoBrakes
Richland High (3-0) has a bye week. The Royals defeated Sunset High (0-2) 56-0 last week.

Trey Owens, QB, Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair #AllGasNoBrakes
Cy-Fair High (2-1) has a bye this week. They defeated Cypress Woods 41-25 last week.

Jordan Washington, TE, Houston (Texas) Langham Creek #AllGasNoBrakes
Langham Creek High (2-1) has a bye this week. The Lobos beat Cypress Ridge 43-21 last week.

Nate Kibble, IOL, Humble (Texas) Atascocita #AllGasNoBrakes
Atascocita High (3-0) has a bye this week. The Eagles beat East St. Louis 43-13 last year.
