Will the other drive’s insurance (assuming they had auto insurance) be responsible for paying the family, too?

That section of 40 needs to be fixed. It's been a disaster as long as I've been around....I dread it when I drive back and forth to Nashville or Chatt...

It was at the Cedar Bluff exit, right? I got rear ended a few years ago going Eastbound on 40 right around the West Hills exit. I was going the speed limit and this guy just came up fast and hit and pushed me into the inside wall. The air bags saved and I didn’t get hurt aside from a broken rib, sprained ankle and bruised but it absolutely demolished our SUV. I’m always on edge driving in that area now. I’ve been in a few wrecks and some I got hurt worse but that was the scariest one I’ve been in. It was at night and didn’t see it coming until after it happened. I went from driving along listening to the radio to suddenly being crushed up against the inside median. Luckily I was by myself because if anyone had been with me in the back seat they would have been hurt bad.

See it everyday. The ingress/egress on that stretch of 40 is horrible. The design was never good and has only gotten worse. The bridgewater ramp onto 40 is just to damn close to the off ramp to Cedar Bluff. Pellissippi merge back onto 40W is horrible

I loathe that dude and want to punch him in the face. Makes me even madder that he is probably a decent guy. Now I can’t hate him as much

Not for Wes since he had a stroke about 10 years ago. No way it would have been that much and it would have been expensive

Good luck, not even on the 10 year plan Lovell to the split is probably 10 years out till it gets fixed the "fix" on the East Knoxville interstate is past it's due date to get fixed again, due to poor planning by TDOT and downtown to Lovell isn't even in their vision yet Hell, I'm to the point of canceling my tickets to Tennessee sports due to the wasted gas and time stuck I. Traffic attempting g to get to games!
